Hope at K&K
Immanuel faced many challenges in his early years, with little hope that he would be able to attend school. He is a graduate from our K&K Schools program, which serves two impoverished, remote villages called Kabachirya and Kaplobtwo. Here is what he wrote:
“I started schooling in 2008 when I was in Primary 1 (First grade), but then I stayed home because my parents were not in position to pay my school fees. In 2010, I went back to Primary 1 again, but I went to school without a uniform or shoes and sometimes did not even eat at school.
But, in 2014, that all changed when I was sponsored to attend Amazing Grace Primary School. I received a uniform, shoes, food at school and school fees, which made me very proud. I performed well and went on to Amazing Grace Secondary School (High School).
My sponsor prayed for me and continued to pay my school fees, helping me to succeed on my exams. Currently, I am doing a certificate in Nursing course, something I have loved since childhood.
I am so happy for my sponsors and their family and I pray that they may live long to see good things in their lives.”
This is just one of many stories of the difference a small investment in the life of a child can make. Out of 500 children at K&K Schools, only 207 are sponsored. Sponsorship of children helps to provide for the needs of the school, so as you can imagine, we have a huge gap. Would you consider sponsoring a child at K&K to help us bridge the gap?
